SAM RACHEL - Gender Reveal Luau

After how much fun we had during our first Gender Reveal Party, when we became pregnant this year, I couldn't wait to plan another!!!  Last time, we threw a Football Themed party as it was Fall and Steelers season, but this time 20 weeks hit with the Summer heat ;) And I thought, let's celebrate Baby Lim Hawaiian style with a Gender Reveal Luau =D

After weeks of Pinterest searches, Luau decor shopping, and designing Party Printables in Photoshop, the time had come! As guests arrived to the Luau, they had to pick their side by donning a Pink or Blue lei, find their name tag in HAWAIIAN, and sign the "Guest Book" by writing their name on a Surfer Boy or Hula Girl and taping it to the Ocean and Beach pages.

This time of year, it was not hard to find all the perfect accessories at Dollar Tree, Party City, and Walmart...Pink & Blue Leis for guests, Grass Skirts, Coconut Bras, and Beach Murals for the Photo Booth, Sand Pails as food containers, plus Patterned plates, napkins, and tablecloths, and SO MUCH MORE!

After a HUGE feast with classics like Crockpot Ham & Pineapple and Hawaiian Pizza, it was on to the Luau Lawn Games! ;) We had Hula Hoop-Balloon Toss (each row was 1, 2 or 3 points, the large hula hoop was single scoring and the small hoop was double!) Then we put a spin on PONG, with each ping pong ball having a Hawaiian word and its matching word in English written on the Cup...get the ball in the correct cup and you get a point (answers written on the bottom of the cups)! BUT my favorite game had to be Pineapple Bowling with Coconuts! Though we ended up with a crazy amount of pineapple to eat after the Luau, it was by far the most FUN =D

After the luau's feast & lawn games were over,
it was time for the VOLCANIC REVEAL!!! =D
(My husband had so much fun making his first ever Paper Mache Volcano, turned out great!)
